Excellent Movie!

I know I have mentioned the movie Fireproof a couple of times already on this blog, but I finally saw it this past weekend and it far exceeded my expectations. Facing the Giants was great, however the level of acting could have been much improved! I knew the level of acting had to be better with Kirk Cameron starring in this film, but I was REALLY impressed with this movie! It was hilarious, very moving and extremely powerful. The role of the husband loving his wife as Christ loves the church was beautifully displayed. It was an excellent movie!

I wanted to encourage you to all go and see it whether you are married or not. It is a MUST see! If you know of someone who is struggling in their marriage, do as my friend Shawn said yesterday....."buy them the tickets, the popcorn and drink" march them into the theater and stand guard at the door". This movie is truly an answer to prayer with the issue of marriages that are falling apart today. It is strengthening marriages and changing lives! Go see it!

Would love to hear your comments on the movie for those of you that have seen it!!

Amen, THIS is what marriage should look like and THIS is the picture of Christ and the church! Single, married, or otherwise, you will leave the theater with a much larger picture of Christ's love for us and anexcitement that He has chosen to mimic this relationship in the human bond of marriage. Go see the movie!!!!

P.S. Love Shawn's advice...going to try that!

Ok... this just became the best movie I've ever seen. Go.. take your friends, take your parents, and PLEASE take your kids. Our kids need to see that we are suppose to fight for our marriages not bail out when it gets tough. Buddy Gray often says, "marriage isn't based on our feelings but on our commitment". We have ignored God's expectations for marriage in the church... this film just cleared that up for us.

Well, where do I begin? Let me start with...GO SEE THIS MOVIE! This movie is funny, sad and scary yet paints a beautiful picture of what God intended marriage to be. This movie has made such an impression on me that I will never be the same, thank the LORD! Polly, as I watched and listened I, like you kept hearing Buddy, "marriage isn't based on feelings but COMMITMENT" now I see what that looks like. If you are reading this and haven't seen this movie get there fast and take everyone you know!

P.S. Shawn is a smart man... LOCK THE DOORS!

I think this movie is the best movie I have ever seen. It has such a powerful message. Love is a choice and a commitment. You can't just leave when times get tough. I definitely agree that is a movie for everyone--single and married. Throughout the movie, Ephesians 5:33 flooded my mind.
" However, each one of you also must LOVE his wife as himself, and the wife must RESPECT her husband."
Go see this movie and you will be changed!
